Strong Families
Strong Families is a 10-year national initiative of Forward Together (formerly Asian Communities for Reproductive Justice) to change the way people think, feel and act in support of families. The vision of Strong Families is to expand the definition of family that to support families of all kinds by 2020. Along with this culture shift, Strong Families will generate broad public support for policies on the local, state and national levels that have created conditions so that families of all kinds can thrive.
Media Literacy Project accepted the invitation to join the Strong Families membership table in 2010 and our presence ensures that communication rights are integrated into the economic, cultural, and geographic needs of 21st century families. Community-driven media policies effectively improve a family’s ability to work, learn, and grow together with accessible and affordable media tools. For MLP, media justice is a path to creating and supporting strong families.
