Media Literacy for Prevention 5-Day Unit DVD
By examining tobacco, alcohol, and food marketing, this multimedia resource teaches learners ages 12 to adult to think more critically about the media messages that are targeted to them.
What’s on the DVD?
- Four presentations and two activities that build on one another and can be used for five consecutive 50-minute class periods. There are 49 media examples from television, websites, magazines, movies, and other resources.
- A printable discussion guide you can use with the media examples on the disc. The discussion guide includes questions and suggested answers, activities, and education standards, and resources.
- A media gallery you can use to display individual media examples in any order.

Media Literacy for Prevention 5-Day Unit has been designed for presentations and discussions in classrooms, community organizations, professional development trainings, and other group settings.
Media examples are captioned and the discussion guide is available in large print.
