Girl Tech 2014 Video Shoot

Girl Tech was a program for young women of color ages 15-24 in Albuquerque. This year-long program included training on media justice, reproductive justice, storytelling, and video making.

Announcing the 2015 Bad Ad and Counter Ad Winners

Media Literacy Project had two Bad Ad Contest winners and four Counter Ad Contest winners this year. The bad ad essay writers selected ads that they deemed offensive and deconstructed them using media literacy tools. The counter ad creators selected original images and then altered them to tell their own story about the media messages. Read more »

A True Open Internet for All New Mexicans is Coming

On Wednesday, Feb 4 something amazing happened. The Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Tom Wheeler, finally released his proposed open Internet rules that would reclassify the Internet as a Title II service under the Communications Act.
