Media Literacy Project is a MAG-Net Anchor Organization in the national media justice network. Betty Yu is a longtime community based media maker, educator and organizer. Ms. Yu is a past Director of Community Outreach & Media at Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN), Manhattan's Community Access TV organization in New York City. At MNN, she provided media making tools and resources to community based organizations through video production training and a Community Media Grants program. Ms. Yu was one of the lead organizers in the Save Public Access TV campaign in New York, organizing individuals and organizations around any legislation that threatened Community Access TV, a valuable media resource to the social change movement. Betty also sits on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Community Media (ACM), the national umbrella organization of over 3000 Community Access TV centers.
