Mobile Justice

Each year, more and more adults and youth use their cell phones to stay connected to their friends, family and information. But as adoption grows, so do barriers to free and open access to information and communication on our mobile devices. To respond to these barriers we launched a state-wide campaign for consumer protections on mobile phones.

Big telecom companies like AT&T and Verizon continue to increase fees while trying to control what we communicate through our mobile phones. While all communities are impacted by these activities, there is a disproportionate impact on Blacks, Latinos and youth who continue to be among the most active users of cell phones and the mobile web.

We’re currently calling for the FCC to apply net neutrality regulations on wireless Internet the same as it is applied to wired Internet.
