Media Literacy Project to celebrate 20 years of media justice
As Media Literacy Project approaches our 20 year anniversary, we are humbled by the amount of support we have received from our New Mexican community. Every time we’ve had another bright idea, there has always been a partner organization willing to collaborate. Every time we’ve asked media justice advocates to sign a petition or contact their elected officials, our community has responded. Whenever we’ve needed volunteers to support us in staffing an event that was designed to elevate young media makers and women of color, New Mexico has been there. It’s been our pleasure to educate and work towards an equitable and just media environment for people so deserving. We are ALL deserving.
Now we are asking you to give. Media Literacy Project has been awarded a $20,000 matching grant and we need you to reach our goal. Every dollar you donate to our 20th Anniversary Giving Campaign will be matched. Meaning, every dollar you donate to advance education and advocacy for media justice will go twice as far. Media Literacy Project has been helping New Mexicans access, analyze, and create media for 20 years, and we need your to help us do it for 20 more.

In the coming days you will notice a fundraising thermometer on our homepage, so you can follow our progress towards our goal of $20,000. Making a donation today will ensure that our thermometer does not look empty and sad when it posts. Please help us spread the word. Please help us reach our goal.
